Special Stake Conference

On Sunday we had a special Stake conference and Dallin H. Oaks from the quorum of the 12 was here to speak to us. It was such a wonderful and spiritual experience. Cameron and I got up early and went to get a closer seat. About an hour before the meeting started Dallin H Oaks walked in and walked around and shook everyones hand. He went up and down the pews just shaking hands. Cameron was so excited to be able to shake his hand. When Dallin H. Oaks got to Cameron, Cameron had the biggest smile on his face and said Hi!. Dallin H Oaks said," Good morning and how are you?. Cameron said, "Good". After that he shook my hand and then Cameron said he felt his heart get warm when he shook his hand. It was so touching as his mom to be able to see how excited he was and that he felt the spirit. What a wonderful and amazing opportunity. I hope he will never forget it!! Unfortunately Reid, Luke and Owen missed this part, due to picking up a neighbor for church, but they were still able to hear him speak and feel of his spirit.

Farm!

Last week Luke, Owen and I were invited to go to a little farm thing with some friends. The boys were really excited to go and see some animals. When we got out of the car we saw some little goats just roaming around in the kid play area. Owen immediately walked right up to them and started petting them. These goats were the friendliest I have ever seen. The goats would just stand there and let the kids pet them. Owen loved these goats and kept on calling them doggies. He could have spent the entire day just petting those goats. We also got to see some other little animals, like a tiny pig the size of a bunny, some reptiles, a chinchilla(not sure on spelling), guinea pig and some others. We also got to feed some goats, pigs, and a donkey. The lady had a bunch of loaves of bread that we would feed to the animals and we got to stay there as long as we wanted, I think we fed them for a least 45 minutes or so. Luke and Owen loved it. Owen really loved feeding the donkey and was not afraid to stick the food out to him. He became so attached to this donkey that even after we were done feeding it Owen just stood on the fence petting and talking to the donkey, it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. He was loving every minute! I was able to get pictures on my phone but not sure how to get them off and on the computer yet, I was able to get about 3 pictures before my camera died. Easter!

We had a really great Easter. The day before we had a ward egg hunt and unfortunately I forgot my camera but Owen was so cute, he loved getting the eggs. He would get to the egg open it to see what was in it before putting it in his basket, he was all about the candy he was getting and started eating it right away. Owen didn't get very many eggs but his brothers made up for that. Of course Cameron and Luke went running for the eggs and did quite well for themselves. We had a great time visiting with friends and fellow ward members. The boys were excited for the bunny to come and I think they were pretty happy. They got Toy Story dominoes, Just Dance for Kids Wii game and some candy. Owen got a doodle pad, he was more interested in the candy though, he kept on saying "Candy I want one" or "another one" over and over again. Reid's brother Russ was here for work and we had him over for dinner. The boys sure do love their Uncle Russ and being able to see him more often as he has been working here for the past couple of months. We have had so much fun having him around. I am so grateful for this time of year and for the reminder it give us of our Savior and all that he has done for us. I am so grateful for my older brother Jesus Christ and for all the pain and suffering he went through in my behalf. I am grateful for the chance it gives me to be able to repent and become better and more like him.

Grandma and Grandpa visit!

In April my parents were able to come out to visit. We had such a wonderful time with them and miss them so much. We did all sorts of things while they were here. Before grandma came she promised that she would go and have lunch with Cameron at his school so the friday they were here we were able to meet Cameron at the school for lunch. He was so excited to show grandma and grandpa the school and what he was eating for lunch. My dad even had the opportunity to read a book to Cameron's class, it was so cute to see and all the kids really enjoyed it. On Saturday Cameron had a soccer game, he was so excited to have grandma and grandpa there to watch. We also colored some easter eggs with them. Owen wasn't very friendly and kindly avoided my parents, but on sunday he sat on Grandpa's lap during sacrament meeting. Luke was so excited to spend time playing with grandpa while Cameron was at school. Cameron and Luke both rode with me to take them back to the airport and they both cried for 20 mins or so on the way home, because they missed grandma and grandpa. It broke my heart to see them so sad. Cameron kept on saying we just love it when they are here and Luke kept asking why they had to go home so soon. It was hard to see them so sad, but I told them that we will see them again sometime soon, not sure how soon but that seemed to help. We sure love having them here and miss them when they are not!!! We love you grandma and grandpa!! Thanks for coming to visit us!

Field trip with Cameron

I was able to go on Cameron's second field trip with him. We went to a place called Owen's farm. We had so much fun and I enjoyed being able to spend the day with just Cameron. We got to feed some goats, go on a hay ride, see some other animals, eat lunch and play on a huge pile of hay. I had such a great time with him.

Luke's preschool graduation!

On March 30, Luke had his preschool graduation. Yes, you might think March is early for that but his teacher was having a baby in April and decided to end early, which all of us moms kept on telling her to do. Luke loved preschool and is excited to go back again this next fall. There was a little ceremony, gave out awards, sang to all of us, and we got to see a slide show. I am so impressed with how much he has come along since the start of the year. Thanks Mrs. Tamra for all you have done for Luke!! We are excited to come by and see that sweet baby girl of yours!!

In March we took the boys to a Hockey game. The town next to ours just got a hockey team and a nice arena that is only 5 minutes from our house, the team is called the Allen Americans. It was way nice to only have a 5 min ride home after the game. Reid's brother Russell was in town again for work and went with us. The boys loved it! I was kind of hesitant in taking them but they really liked it, even Owen. I forgot how long those games are though, we didn't get out of there until almost 10:30pm, but the kids were good the entire time and didn't even want to leave when it was over.

In March we went to the Fort Worth Zoo with some friends. We decided to go spring break week and it was way busy, but we still had a great time. It was the first time that Owen was actually old enough to notice the animals and he was so excited to see them all. He had to get out of the stroller at every exhibit so he could get a better look. It was fun to watch his excitement.

In February we took the boys to the BYU-TCU basketball game to see Jimmer play. We went with some friends and Reid's brother Russell was here and was able to go with us as well. We had so much fun watching the game and enjoyed sitting among fellow BYU fans. The boys had such a great time. I seriously need to get my boys some BYU shirts!!

Cameron is way into doing projects (drawing, cutting, designing and what not), most days you will find him at the kitchen table making something. We never know what he is going to come up with but it always seems to amaze us with the detail that he puts into everything. On this particular snow day in February Luke and him decided to make a rocket. They even went so far as to cut out tiny little stars and tape them under the counter over hang. I thought it was creative. Here is a picture of the rocket they made.

We had several snow days this year. This was in February. Cameron and Luke seriously lasted 3 minutes and came back inside because they were too cold. All that work layering them up and 3 minutes later they were done, come on...oh well it was fun while it lasted I guess.

18 Months!!!

Owen is 18 months old!! This just blows my mind. What? I swear I just had him.

Owen's 18 month stats:

Owen is such a cute little guy with such a cute personality. I am having so much fun with him. He is such a joy to have in our family. I feel so blessed to be his mom. He is in nursery at church now and loved the first sunday but not the second one he had a little bit of a rough time. He learns something new everyday. He is a climber and likes to freak me out by climbing on top of the kitchen table, most days the chairs are all stacked on top of the table so he can't climb up. Lately he does not like to sit in his high chair and doesn't want me to feed him, he wants to do it by himself. He wants to sit at the table like his brothers. He follows his brothers where ever they go and thinks he is just as big as them. He is obsessed with Woody and Buzz from the movie Toy Story. He is always getting into things and is very quick, if the pantry is left open he will pull everything out. He loves string cheese and goes to the refrigerator door and says Cheese. He loves to carry around the big huge bags of cereal and eat from the bag. He is so easy to put to bed and rarely cries. He is always happy and smiling. He loves to dance whenever he hears music. He loves to play with the Hymn books at church. He absolutely adores our dog Schatzi and says her name really well and he loves to just sit and hold her. He still uses his pacifier and asks for it(I need to get rid of it). He shakes his head yes and no. He basically understands most of what we say like go get this or that and he does it. Points to some body parts when we ask him. He only has 4 teeth, the top two and bottom two. For awhile he just had one top tooth the other is slowly coming in. I loved his one top tooth smile though, so funny! He gives kisses and hugs, He gives high fives. He says something new everyday, Here's his list of what he says now:

Woody and Buzz obsession!

Owen is obsessed with Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story movies. I think it all started with those giant Woody and Buzz dolls that Cameron and Luke got for Christmas. So a couple weeks ago I was Party City looking to get stuff for Luke's spiderman party when I walked past the Toy Story section, I didn't even say a thing and I heard Owen say," Woody, I want Woody, Woody!" I was thinking what did he just say Woody. Nah couldn't be then I started to walk away and he cried,"Woody I want Woody, Woody!" It was so stinkin cute, so I let him hold a package of invitations till I got to the checkout. Owen will walk around saying Woody and Buzz all day long, he even has Woody and Buzz dolls that he takes to bed with him. He has claimed his brothers big dolls for his own and will go in their room and pull them out to play with. The other day I remembered we had a little woody and Buzz backpack that was given to Owen awhile ago. I pulled it out and put it on him, he wore it for like 4 hours and would cry and ask for me to put it back on when I would try to take it off. He also has sippy cups that have Woody and Buzz on the tops of them. He will tell me which one he wants, Woody or Buzz. I tried to put Toy Story 3 in the other day to see if he would watch it but it didn't last long. I think this little obsession is kind of cute!! I wonder how long it will last?!

On January 5th Luke turned 4! I can't believe he is already 4, where does time go? Seriously it needs to slow down a little.

He is still mischeivous, happy, energetic, fun to be around, and has a very cute personality and sense of humor. He loves preschool, loves being a sunbeam now, loves to play Lego Star Wars on the Wii(or any game on the Wii), loves to ride his scooter. He is always on the go and wants to always be doing something or going somewhere. Always tells me he loves me, likes to cuddle with me still. Lately whenever he gets in trouble he says that I am mean, but usually within a few minutes he'll say I'm not mean anymore. He is so fun and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. I love you Luke!!

Luke was so excited for his birthday and had been talking about it for months. The night before his birthday he got to pick where to go for dinner and so he picked Chuck-e-cheese. We all actually had a great time, there was hardly any body there and Owen loved going on all the little ride on games. Luke got to open one of his presents in the morning before preschool and was beaming! Of course we had to do the traditional candle in the waffle for breakfast. We also took cupcakes to preschool. He had so much fun but had to wait for daddy to get home to open the rest of his presents. He got some clothes and some money and a sound making color wonder. He loved everything he got.
On the Friday after his birthday we had a party for him, it was spiderman themed and he had about 13 friends that came. It was crazy but we had a great time. I got some pizzas and made some cupcakes that had a spider web shape on top with a spiderman toothpick sticking out the top. I got some silly string and the kids got to "web" each other, at first some of the kids even Luke didn't like getting sprayed but after a minute or so they were crazy spraying each other and just had a blast. After the "webbing" he opened his presents and man did he get a lot of stuff. We had cupcakes and then all the kids went home. After the party Luke started talking about next years party. Oh man! I was telling my grandma that it's a good thing that birthdays are a year apart so I have time to recover...haha!! I was worn out after the party, I think I crashed on the couch but had so much fun with all the kids. Thank you to everyone who came and for all the presents and for making it a special day!

Luke is a Sunbeam!!

I can't believe it! Luke is a sunbeam. He is the oldest in his class and was so ready to finally be a sunbeam. He loves it and gets so excited to go to primary every sunday. He is getting so big. He is such a handsome little guy and I can't help but look at this picture and think how fast time is going to go by before he is in a suit going on a mission. I am loving the time I get to spend with him! I hope he doesn't grow up too fast!!

7th Anniversary!

On December 27th Reid and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary. We didn't really do much that day except we took our kids to Outback Steakhouse with us for dinner. We got some gift cards for Christmas and thought why not go and enjoy it. It was a monday night so we decided to take them with us. A couple weeks later we celebrated by going to The Melting Pot for dinner by ourselves. It was really fun and very good. We had a great time! I have been thinking about how much we have done and accomplished it those 7 years, graduated college, had 3 babies, moved 3-4 times, had various callings, 2 jobs, bought 2 houses and so much more. It has been a wild and crazy ride but has been the best 7 years ever. I feel so blessed to have Reid in my life and to be married to a worthy priesthood holder and to know that we can be together forever. He is such a wonderful husband and dad. I love you so much Reid and can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with you.

Christmas!

We had such a great Christmas this year. We stayed here in Texas again, and loved it. Of course we were missing our families but were glad to spend a nice, relaxing holiday together as a family.
We started out Christmas Eve with making sugar cookies and decorating them for santa. (which was a first time, I really don't like making them, what a mess) then the traditional Christmas Eve opening one present, which is always Pajamas. Cameron and Luke both were so excited to finally open a present but once Cameron realized what it was he was not happy, he said, "That's it I just got pajamas, I don't even like these!" I was quite thrown back by his reaction and was really sad that he was acting like that. After a little talk with him and me asking him if he wanted me to give all of his presents to someone in need, he was fine, apologized and put them on. Luke opened his and was jumping all around and wanted to put them on right away. Owen didn't really care he was so tired anyway!
We woke up in the morning and the kids were ready to go. As I was going upstairs to help get them dressed I realized I forgot something and turned to go back down and totally fell down the stairs, (I was fine just had a nice big bruise on my rear and soreness for a couple days after). We got the kids dressed and they were ready to go see what they got! We had them wait at the top of the stairs while daddy made sure santa came and put things where they were supposed to be. Once we let them go they went running down the stairs. They were so excited! They got so much stuff from everyone! It was so fun to watch them and see how excited they were about everything. Cameron got these really cool remote control cars. Luke got a Hot wheels crash and Burn thing and Owen got a farm thing. They got some Pillow pets, books, Toy Story 3 dolls, toys, games, pjs, slippers, razors(scooters) and all sorts of things. The boys also got a book from my parents that has a recording of my parents reading the book to them, it is so cool. As we were opening more presents we realized that Reid's parents had sent the same book with their voices recorded reading it as well. It was too funny! Whenever the boys want to read the books they will look at one and then the other. They are great and the boys listen to them almost everyday! Reid and I got a blueray player, money, gift cards, and a really great family history book from my grandparents.
After presents we just hung out and let the kids play with all their new stuff. We went to dinner at our friends Megan and Marco's and visited with them. It was such a fun day! We missed seeing family but had a great time.

So I decided to take my boys to see santa this year. I thought I would be able to snap a couple pictures with him but I wasn't allowed to and they wanted $15 for one 4x6 picture which Owen was crying in. Cameron's first Field Trip

Thanks to wonderful friends I was able to go with Cameron on his first field trip. We went to a Tree Farm about 45 minutes North of were we live. I had such a great time being able to spend one on one time with him. We went to a puppet show, went on a hay ride to the trees, saw a pig, a bunny, chickens, and some goats. It was so cold outside but I loved spending time with Cameron and he even warmed me up by sitting on my lap during the hay ride. He is growing up so fast I can hardly stand it. He loves school and is doing so great with his reading and writing and he just adores his teacher. He is such a happy, sweet, and loving boy. He has made tons of new friends at school. I am so proud of you buddy and I love you Cameron! Thanks for letting me come with you I had such a great time!

Thanksgiving!

We had so much fun this Thanksgiving. We were invited to our friends the Warnicks house. The company was great, but I must say the food was fantastic. I just love Thanksgiving. We ate and ate, looked at ads, and visited with each other. It was such a fun day. Thanks Cara and Jeff for inviting us to come celebrate the holiday with you we had a blast!

Singing Program

Way back in November Cameron had a singing program at the school. It was so cute to hear all the songs they had learned in Music. I was a little disappointed only because they put Cameron on the second row, for most kids that is not a problem but since Cameron is shorter than most his age we could hardly see him. I took the best pictures I could but still had a hard time getting them. He looked so cute all dressed up and took some fun pictures with close friends. We had a great time although I hope next time I will be able to see him perform.

Cruise with mom and Heather

During the week of November 7- 14 I got to go on a cruise with my mom and sister. My mom was going for work and my dad couldn't go with her so we got to go with her. I was so awesome! We had such a great time and ate some really yummy food. I think I gained like 5 lbs on that trip, I ate and ate. We went to the Carribean, our stops were, Bahamas, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico and Grand Turk. Ben Dodge was so nice and generous to let Heather and I go. We did some really fun things on each of the islands.
In Bahamas we drove over to the Atlantis resort, walked around checking it out and since we were there early in the morning we toured the whole thing pools, beach, aqaurium, and everything. It was really cool. Then we went shopping, touring around and went to a little resturant. I got to try conch for the first time 3 ways, fried, in ceviche, and in fritters. The fritters were definitely the best. We also had fried lobster that was pretty tasty. We had to hurry back to the ship.
Our next stop was St. Thomas, we took a taxi to the other side of the island and got a ferry to St. Johns, in St. Johns Ben rented a car and we just drove around stopping at various beaches, it was incredible and so pretty with warm water. At one beach my mom, Heather and I about lost our suits, a huge wave hit us as we were trying to get out of the water, we had sand everywhere, it was so funny! Then we went back to St Thomas did some shopping and got back on the ship.
Our next stop was Puerto Rico, Ben was going to rent a car but there was no cars available so we paid a taxi driver to drive us all over. We stopped at some beaches, and then went to the rainforest. The rainforest was so beautiful, we even took a hike down to a waterfall. Ben was the only one that got in the water but it was still fun to hike down and see it. Mom did a great job and hiked with us, she was a trooper. After the hike it started raining, perfect timing to get back to the car. The driver gave us a really good tour and we got to see lots of things. We went to a bakery there in town and had these fried ham and cheese sandwich things covered with powdered sugar, they were really good. We did some shopping then headed back to the ship.
In Grand Turk we all went scuba diving, it was so awesome and beautiful. As we were getting to our dive spot we saw dolphins. Ben and I wanted to jump in with them but the guides wouldn't let us. We did a two tank dive and saw a really huge crab. After diving we grabbed a bite to eat and did some shopping and got back on the ship. All in all the trip was amazing. Thank you Ben for letting me come I had a wonderful time!! Unfortunately I don't have pictures to post but I will add them later on when I get them from my mom and sister. Reid stayed home and held down the fort. Thanks to amazing friends who took care of my kids, I didn't have to worry. Reid was such a great husband to let me go without him and took great care of the kids. Thanks hun!! I love you!! The boys were really excited to see me!! I throughly enjoyed being able to do whatever I wanted and not having to take care of kids, it was nice, relaxing and a much needed trip!!

Halloween!

This year for Halloween Cameron was a ninja, Luke was Anakin Skywalker, and Owen was Buzz Lightyear. We went to a trunk or treat at the stake center, they got so much candy. They had so mcuh fun going to the different cars. Owen loved the candy as well especially the suckers. He had one in his mouth all night. He just kept on getting more and more. The boys looked really good in their costumes and loved getting dressed up. Since Halloween was on Sunday, the boys helped us pass out candy to the trick or treaters that came to our house. They were sad to not be able to go but we set the rule and wanted to keep it.

Pumpkin Patch

On October 28th we went to a pumpkin patch with some friends. Yes I know we already carved the other pumpkin but we decided to go and have some fun with some friends. We got to feed some goats, bulls, and went on a hay ride. Cameron liked feeding the goats but was nervous. Luke wanted me to feed them. Owen loved the goats, he held his hands out to pet them and feed them. After the hay ride we got to pick out pumpkins. The kids had so much fun!!

For Family Home evening before Halloween we carved a pumpkin. The boys had been asking for days to carve a pumpkin so I got one and had their dad help them carve it while I took pictures. The boys even put there hands in to help get seeds out this year. The boys named the pumpkin Jack!! We had a great time as a family!!

Primary Program

Cameron all dressed up for his part in the primary program. He looked so handsome in his little suit. The program was on the 24th of October. His part was, "Noah was called by God!" He did a great job. I love the primary programs and always find myself crying my eyes out, and it happened again this time. I just love listening to the kids sing, so cute and touching!

BYU-TCU Game

Because we have such wonderful friends Steve and Dana, we were able to go to the BYU game this year with free tickets!! The game was on October 16th. We went to the tail gate party and enjoyed sitting among fellow members and fans. Cosmo was there and we were able to get a picture taken with him. By the time we walked to the stadium and took our seats facing the sun, the boys were ready to go home. They didn't really enjoy the game and spent most of the time time sitting between the rows out of the sun. It was rather warm that day as well so we were all sweating and hot. I took lots of breaks taking Owen down and under the stand to get out of the sun and to stretch his legs. I wish I could say it was worth it but unfortunately the coug's lost. I had a good time but I will definitely not be taking kids next time. I will gladly pay a babysitter so I can enjoy myself and actually watch the game. Thanks Haynie's for the tickets!!!

Soccer

Another season has come and gone with soccer. Cameron did soccer again with the same team. The boys get along really well and have a great time. They got new uniforms this year and they are so cool. There team name is Arsenal and they got replica jerseys from the actual Arsenal team, from England I think. Cameron's was huge but it was the smallest size they had available. Cameron had a good season I think he made only one goal, but he loves playing and has a lot of fun. One of his teamates goes to school with him so they love the fact that they knew someone when they started school.

He is still such a little guy but doing great. Healthy in every way. He is walking all over the place, loves to eat anything and everything he can get his hands on, still only has 2 teeth on the bottom. He says mommy, daddy, uh oh, does sign language for more. Loves to get his shoes on and have me put them on. Loves to go for rides in the car. Loves going to the park and being outside. He is still such a great and easy going baby. I have so much fun with him, especially now I can play with him. His is growing up way too fast!

Slip and Slide

Since it was still warm in October, I let the boys do the slip and slide. Luke is really good at sliding now and had fun. Owen just ran around getting wet. He loves the water. We also had Luke's friend Alex over to play, I think they played in the water for like 2 hours. They had a lot of fun and one advantage to living in Texas, we still have warm weather in October!

Uncle Russ

Since Uncle Russ's job has him travel we have been able to see him every once in awhile in October he came for a visit. The boys love having him here and spending time with him. Here are the boys having fun with Uncle Russ. Thanks for coming and spending with us Russ, we love you!! Also while Russ was here I had the opportunity to go to Time Out For Women, it was such a wonderful experience and had an enjoyable time. I went with my friend Lindsay that I knew up at BYU Idaho. We had a great time!!

Lucas is such a handsome little guy. We have so much fun together while Cameron is at school. Luke is loving his preschool class and is always so excited to go. He is very helpful with Owen. He is still my mischievious guy but hopefully he will grow out of it soon. He is full of energy and always on the go. He loves to play wii and do things with Cameron! He is still my little cuddle buddy! He will be 4 in January and I can hardly believe how fast time is going!

Since Owen was a tiny baby I had my eyes on these. So when he started walking I couldn't resist. I love them. Owen also loves his shoes. He brings them to me all the time to have me put them on him. I will ask him where are your shoes? He will find them, bring them to me, sit on the ground and hold his foot up for me to put them on. I love it!! He is such a cutie!

On September 7th, Cameron was awarded the Mighty Mustang award at school. Each week the teacher selects a mighty mustang from their class. They have a little awards ceremony at the Monday morning assembly. Cameron had no idea it was going to be him but they had let me know beforehand so Reid and I could be there for it. Cameron was so excited and had the biggest smile on his face. Owen, Lucas and I also got to go to the school that friday to eat lunch with Cameron. We had a great time. Here's our mighty mustang!

Last week Cameron started all day kindergraten. He is gone from 8-3 everyday. He just loves it. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Welsh and comes home everyday with a name of a new friend. The very first day when I went to pick him up, I asked how his day went. He said, "That was a long day but I had so much fun!" I was so happy to hear that. I was a little nervous to let him go but was excited at the same time for this new stage in his life. I can't believe I have a kid in school, it is so weird! Cameron still loves school everyday and his teacher is way nice. I am still trying to get used to waking up so early and getting going but it is going great so far.

Luke gets really bored without Cameron but we are enjoying the time we get to spend together. Luke started preschool this year as well and is gone on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30-11:15. He loves it and is always so excited to go. I must say it is nice in the mornings while both Cameron and Luke are at school, it's just me and Owen. Owen and I play for a little bit and he takes a nap so I get some time for myself. I love it!!

In July Luke fell off of a riding toy and split open his chin open. I thought for sure he would need stitches but after talking and asking opinions we decided not to take hime to the ER but taped it together ourselves. It has actually healed really well and you can hardly see it. Earlier that day I was saying how lucky we have been without having to get stitches and then he fell, still glad we haven't yet!

Summer Trips!

Over the summer we had the opportunity to go and visit both sides of the family. At the beginning of July we went to Virginia, we had so much fun. We got to spend time with everyone, went to Ryan and Kinsey's house and also a trip to Busch Gardens. We had a wonderful time and miss everyone so much. Here is a slide show of all our fun.

At the beginning of August we went to Arizona. The boys loved playing with their cousins, going to the lake, going to Jumpstreet,going to Amazing Jake's, eating yummy food, swimming and all sorts of fun stuff. We will miss Uncle Shawn as he leaves on his mission on September 22 but we had so much fun spending time with him and the whole family. We miss everyone a ton. Owen is walking! He started taking a couple steps here and there like a week ago and now walks most of the time. He is still a little unsure on his feet and falls a lot but he does pretty good. I love it! He just looks so cute and happy while he walks like look mom I am doing it, the boys and I are always cheering him on! Also he finally got his first tooth, you can't really see it but you can sure feel the sharp edge. My little guy is growing way to fast!

Last Tuesday was Owens 1st Birthday! My baby is 1 and I just can't believe it has been a year already, does not seem right at all.
1 year old stats:

Dr said he looks good but is a little anemic so he has to take vitamin drops with iron everyday!

He is our little light weight. Weighing only 17 lbs he is not quite big enough to be turned around in his carseat, I don't even know how long it will take before he gains the couple of pounds needed. He trys to sit up and turn to look at me while I am driving. He is still such a great little guy, always happy and content. He is not walking yet but walked 6 steps last thursday and he can stand in the middle of the room. He has no teeth yet but I think one is on it's way. The new things he can do are; He loves to mimic sounds and jestures especially laughs. He says mamma and dada. Blows kisses. Loves climbing in and out of the cozy car. Loves to eat teddy grahams and goldfish crackers. Loves following Cameron and Luke all over. He is still a momma's boy! Loves when I throw him on my bed, and laughs as I count before I do it. Has figured out how to turn the TV on and off, does it over and over again. He loves to let Schatzi out of her kennel in the morning and knows how to open it. Loves "helping" me empty the dishwasher,(he climbs in it) He is just so fun and I love it!! I love you Owen!!

For his Birthday we did the traditional toaster waffle with candle in it for breakfast. I ended up throwing the waffle away after I tasted one bite and realized it tasted like the freezer and was really gross. We went swimming with our normal playgroup bunch, when daddy got home we ate dinner and then went to Baskin Robbins to get a birthday treat. Owen loved the ice cream. We had so much fun celebrating. Cameron and Luke were so excited all day and kept on singing Happy Birthday to Owen all day. They made sure he knew it was his birthday and that it was his special day.

We had a birthday party for him while we were on vacation in Virginia. He loved eating his chocolate cake and didn't hesitate to stick his hands in and eat. At first he touched it and then looked at me like are you sure I can do this. Then he just starting taking big handfuls and shoveing it in his mouth as fast as he could. It was so funny to watch. He had chocolate everywhere from head to toe. He even fed me some so I wouldn't feel left out. He ate half the little cake by the time I took it away and cried when I finally did take it. He loves his chocolate!

The other day I was holding Owen and he was getting a little fussy because he was tired, Cameron looked over at me and said,"Mom you need to get him some of that lotion that is supposed to calm babies down and help them sleep, you know the one from the commercial, I think it's from Johnsons and Johnsons. Yeah mom that should work!" I just started laughing. Apparently we watch way too much TV at our house...haha. He is so funny and comes up with some of the most funny and crazy things. He also remembers everything and I mean everything. He is growing up into such a great little guy. I love him to pieces!!

Owen is now 11 months old and is still my sweet and happy little guy. Here are some of the things he can do now. He crawls all over the place and pulls himself to standing and his most recent, letting go and just standing, he has only mananged to last about 10 seconds but he is getting better and better. He is quite the quick and sneaky little guy, and before you know it he is getting into stuff he shouldn't aka. the dog food or the bathroom, he always seems to make it to either one of these before I can stop him. He loves his brothers and follows them from room to room and even looks for them if they are not home. He is also found sneaking up the stairs and is quite good at it, now we need to work on the coming back down or making sure the baby gate is up. If he has his passy in his mouth and wants to eat, he will just throw his passy on the ground. He waves, gives kisses, gives high 5's, gives big gummy smiles, loves drinking milk from a sippy cup, loves the pool, loves bathtime, loves eating, makes all sort of noises, squeals and clicking sounds and he loves playing with toys. He is a very content little guy and I am loving every minute. I feel like time is just cruising and I barely have time to enjoy him but we are having fun!! Love you buddy!!!

The summer has begun and that means swimming in the pool at least a couple times a week. I decided to get Cameron and Luke kickboards. I found these ones that I knew they would love. They were so excited and do great with them. Cameron cruises all over the pool. Luke is still a little unsure but does okay.

A couple weeks ago Cameron had his preschool graduation. It was so fun to watch him as he was so excited. They sang some songs, said a poem they had memorized and even got to wear graduation caps. His teacher Ms. Tamra did such a great job with the kids and Cameron loved going everytime. His teacher made a slide show from the year and the kids were all laughing and loved watching it, she also made binders for each kid with some of the things they have done and how much they have progressed. The slide show was so fun to see and the binders are so fun to look at. Cameron has learned so much and is so excited to be starting kindergarten in the fall.

As crazy as it sounds we now have a 5 year old at our house. I can't believe it. Cameron turned 5 last Tuesday. He loves birthdays, he had been talking about this birthday since his last birthday. He had his traditional waffle with candle for breakfast. Went to playgroup and went out to dinner. I asked him where he wanted to go eat and he said," Mom I want a burger and a milkshake." We decided to go to Applesbee's which was great for us since kids eat free on Tuesdays. They came out and sang to him and gave him a little ice cream sundae. After his ice cream he decided he no longer wanted a milkshake. He got lots of phone calls and cards, thank you to everyone that called and/or sent cards. He didn't really have any presents to open because he got a bike and a helmet, I think he was a little dissappointed but we made up for it with the a birthday party on Thursday. For the party we were just going to go to the park and let the kids play and have cupcakes and open presents and that was all that was planned. Well mother nature decided to not let us do that. We showed up to play and the sky was looking really dark and stormy so I thought it will blow over quickly as long as there is no rain we will be good. We started the party having the kids play on the playground then there was lightning and then a huge loud thunder...all the kids started screaming. We decided to leave. My house was a mess so a very kind friend of mine let us go to her house to finish the party. The kids had a lot of fun and Cameron loved it. Thank you Tamra for letting us raid your home... you're the best. Happy Birthday Cameron, we love you!!!

Preschool Field Trip

A couple weeks ago Cameron's preschool class went on a field trip to the fire station and they invited all of us to come. They had a really good time and the firefighters were so generous and great with the kids. All the kids got to climb in the fire truck and check it out. They showed all of us the whole station, even where they sleep. All the kids thought is was really cool and loved being there.

Soccer!!

Another Soccer season has come and gone. Cameron was able to play with the same team he played with last season. The boys on the team are great and they have so much fun together. Cameron did really well and really enjoys playing. He is not a big scorer but with a group effort he made a goal and was extremely happy and proud of himself. We love to go and watch him play and find ourselves laughing during every game. We are looking forward to many soccer seasons ahead.

Safety Town

A couple of weeks ago I took the boys to a place called Safety Town. It is at a fire station in a neighboring city where all the kids got a tour and got to try on the firemen uniform and learn all sorts of cool things about the truck and the things in it. They also have a 5/8th scale town that looks like a normal town with stop lights and everything. It has a bank, a courthouse, wal-mart, church, houses, doctors office, and all sorts of little buildings. When they kids are older they have a program that teaches them safety and then the kids get to drive around little jeeps like powerwheels and remember what they learned about safety. It was so much fun and the kids really enjoyed it. Can't wait for them to get a little older so they can drive the cars around. Here are some pics of our fun.

My baby is almost 10 months old already. I can hardly believe it. I took him to his 9month check up and these are his stats.

9 month stats:
weight: 15 lbs 13 oz (not even on the charts)
height: 28 3/4in (50-75%)

As you can tell from his stats he is a tiny little thing, or should I say skinny. Our goal is to gain some weight. He is still such a happy little guy and content to just sit in his car seat when we are out at places. He is crawling everywhere and is so fast. He follows Cameron and Luke from room to room and loves watching them play. He pulls himself to standing on everything, the wall, the stairs, cupboards, you name it he is standing against it. He is always on the go. He loves to eat table foods now and tries new things to eat almost daily. He gives wet sloppery kisses (my favorite). He loves his momma and is a momma's boy. He loves to make noises, squeals, and knows how to get my attention. I know I say this all the time but he is growing way to fast. I am loving every minute with him. I love this sweet little guy!!

Easter

Yeah, I know these are way late but I still wanted to share them.

We had some friends come over to decorate eggs and had a blast.
Little monsters, I mean finished eggs!!

This year we had our ward egg hunt on the same day and time that Cameron had a soccer game. So I took Luke and Owen to the ward hunt and Reid took Cameron to his game. Since I took Luke and Owen by myself, Luke's buddy Skylar helped him get some eggs during the hunt. Luke loves Skylar and they have a really cute bond, Yes Skylar is 14 but he is so sweet with Luke and they have become best buds. Skylar will come find Luke every Sunday to say hi, Luke adores him.

We also went to an egg hunt led by the city so Cameron could have a chance to go on an egg hunt. They both got tons of eggs and had a blast doing it. The boys were so excited Easter morning when they found bubbles and waterguns. (they think the Easter bunny always brings bubbles so I had to keep that going)

Nana sent each of the boys a Dr. Seuss book with a coordinating character. Cameron and Luke have been carrying their characters around with them all over the house. The characters were a big hit. Owen is still not sure about his yet but I am sure that will change. Thanks Nana!! We love you!

This weekend we went to San Antonio and took the kids on a surprise trip to Sea World. They had no idea we were going until we got to Sea World. Reid and I had so much fun keeping this secret. We left on Friday morning to go down there, on the way down we stopped in a little town called New Brunsfel and let the kids get out and run around at a park for a little while and then finished our drive. When we got to San Antonio we went to the hotel to check in. The boys thought it was really cool that we were going to be staying at a hotel and that they were going to get to share a big bed. While we were walking in to go to our room, Luke said,"Is this our new home?" Reid and I just had to laugh. After we went to the room and let the kids check it out, we went to the Riverwalk. The Riverwalk was way cool. It is a river that runs below the city, with cobblestone walk ways and little bridges. It is lined with stores and restaurants, it was a very neat place, I wish I would have taken pictures. We decided to take the kids to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. At first they were a little nervous but they ended up really loving it. After dinner we walked around a little more and went to bed.

Saturday we went to Sea World. As we pulled in we saw the huge sign. I said, "Cameron what does that say?" He hesitated for a minute and said I don't know, then after a second he said, "It says Sea World!!" His mouth was wide open and he said. "That's where we're going today!!" I said, "Yes, that's the big surprise. Are you excited?" He said, "Yes, we are so excited!!" Luke and him were so excited running and jumping while we walked to the entrance. The first thing we did was go to the kiddy rollercoaster. Cameron, Luke and I went on it. Cameron rode by himself and Luke and I rode together. Luke was nervous at first but really enjoyed it. Cameron really liked it and was so brave by himself. We headed to the Sea Lion show, it was really funny. Cameron and Luke were just so excited the whole time.We did everything you can do with little kids, and Reid and I even took turns riding one of the big rollercoasters. Our day was full of shows and activities. We got to feed and pet the dolphins, saw Shamu, watched another show with Beluga whales and dolphins, pet an alligator, saw sharks and many other things. After every show both of the boys kept on asking are we going home now, Reid and I would say no, we are here all day. They would say oh good we don't want to go home yet. Owen did an awesome job, he was happy the whole time and loved watching people and seeing the animals. Our only injury of the day was Luke, he cut his lip open because he was climbing on a cement sea lion and slipped. Blood everywhere, but not too bad. As we were heading to the car Luke fell asleep. The kids slept the whole way home, Luke even slept through dinner at Red Robin. We had such a great time ogether. This was our first official family trip, besides going to see family and we had a blast. Looking forward to many more family trips!!

All in One Week!!

On Wednesday I put Owen down for a nap and decided to check on him and I found him standing up in his crib leaning over the rail. I immediately lowered the mattress. Now everytime I go to get him out he is standing there waiting for me to pick him up. On Friday he started saying dada and what sounds like mama but not sure. On Saturday, Owen crawled across our living room. He is everywhere and he gets further and further around the house everyday. Now I have to start the major babyproofing and making sure all the little toys are picked up and not left out. It will give me an excuse to have a very clean floor and house hopefully. He made it over to the stairs today as well so my next purchase is a baby gate. I sure love this little guy and can't get enough of him. I am so happy to see him accomplish all these milestones. Way to go buddy!!!

Owen is 8 months old now. He is still as happy as ever, and is such a good baby. He is still not quite crawling but he gets up on his knees and goes forward once and then falls, soon enough and he will be all over the place. He coos and squeals all the time and just the other day was saying baba. He knows exactly what to do to get our attention with a certain squeal. He can get from laying down to sitting now and every day makes it further and further. He is such a joy to have around and we all love him so much!!

Here is one of the many inventions of Cameron and Luke. Usually they would get a chair, their cozy car, or a bike or something but that day it was couch cushions. They were waiting for a friend to come play. I must say Luke dressed himself and came down that morning saying he wanted to go swimming. Crazy boys!!!

Owen loves his johnny jump up and so do I. This thing keeps him entertained for a long time. He would sit in it for hours if I would let him. He will walk himself as far as he can and then lift his legs up to swing, he also reaches for his walker to play with the toys on top, or the door jam for a good lick. He just loves it and is all smiles everytime he is in it. I must say it is very hard to get a good picture where he is not moving. He loves jumping so much that if I hold him in a standing position he will jump like he is in his johnny jump up, it cracks me up. Love this little guy!

A tent!!

Cameron and Luke have been asking to go camping, so we decided to build a tent in their room. It was pretty ghetto but it worked and they were happy. Thank you daddy for building it for us!!! Here's the best shot I got of them in the make shift tent. Next time we'll have to bring the real 2 person tent inside or actually go camping!!

A couple weeks ago, I found all three boys playing rockets together. Owen loves to watch his big brothers and was happy they let him play this time. Cameron and Luke are so sweet to Owen and always help make sure he is happy. In the mornings when Owen wakes up and starts to make noises, Cameron and Luke love to go up to his room before I do and talk to Owen. I love to lay in bed and listen to the three of them, it melts my heart. I am the luckiest mom ever!!!

7 months Old!!

My little man is getting so big. I just can't believe how fast it is happening. He is still such a sweet little guy and is so fun. He can sit by himself, he is not crawling yet but can roll and move to get to what he wants. I don't think it will be long before he is crawling everywhere though. He loves his baby food and has been found sucking on an animal cracker (I went upstairs real quick and came back down to find Owen on his stomach face down licking and sucking on an animal cracker he found, kind of scary, he absolutely loved it though). He still loves this momma and is still my little cuddle bug. He babbles and likes to yell and squeal. He loves his brothers and will give them slimmy kisses.

SNOW!!

On Thursday we had a huge snow storm. It snowed non-stop all day. We got 10-12 inches, a record for the Dallas area. It was so crazy. It just kept on coming and coming. The boys loved it and were in and out all day. The wet clothes kept piling up with our lack of winter clothes. Cameron and Luke convinced me to come out and build a snowman with them. The snowmen I made were very lopsided but they were snowmen, within a couple hours both had fallen over. When Reid got home from work they built a snowman together and it was awesome, it is slowly melting away and almost all the snow is gone now but we sure enjoyed it while it was here. On Monday I took Luke to the doctor for his 3 year well check up. He was really good and luckily didn't have to get any shots.

Stats:
weight: 31 lbs 50%
height: 37.5 inches 50%

As the doctor was checking him and listening to his heart, she said," Luke what does your heart say?" Before Luke could answer Cameron said, " His heart says I love Jesus!" The doctor and I started laughing and then the doctor said, "You are right!" I thought is was super cute. I am amazed at how much these little boys understand. It reminds me that they are such special gifts from our Heavenly Father and are so innocent and sweet. I love them to pieces!!

Some cute and funny things my boys have said lately:

At Cameron's preschool Thanksgiving party, we were eating the food the kids had prepared for all the parents and Cameron said, "This is so yummy, thanks to me!"

Before Christmas, Cameron and Luke had been watching Polar Express for days and days, one day Cameron came up to me and said," Mom I think Luke and I are on the naughty list!" I said, "Well, why do you think that?" Cameron said,"because we don't listen to you!" I told him that if he would listen and do what I asked he would be on the nice list again. He kept on asking the rest of that day if he was on the nice list yet.

So the other day I colored my hair and as I was putting Cameron and Luke in their beds for nap Cameron looked at me and said, "Mom your hair looks like something...like something amazing!" I couldn't help but laugh and smile.

Cameron has been learning a lot of songs in preschool and has been teaching them to Luke. So the song is called months of the year and it lists out the months of the year, Luke started singing, "January, February, March, and April, May, June, July and Octipus. I was laughing so hard, and had to tell him it is August. Funny boy!

These two boys have been so crazy lately. They come up with all sorts of songs and stories. They like to pretend they are spiderman, they wrestle each other, they have way too much fun and also get in trouble together. I think Luke is really going to miss Cameron next year when Cameron goes to school.

6 months old!

On Wednesday, Owen turned 6 months old.

Owen is still such a sweet baby. He sleeps great and rarely cries. He is such a joy and I am loving every minute. I know I keep on saying that but it is true. He now rolls all over the place from back to stomach and stomach to back. He will spin in circles all over the floor. We are working on the sitting by himself, but not quite there all the way yet. He loves to just talk and talk or in other words squeal and it is so cute. He has also found his tongue and loves to stick it out all the time and say lalala while it is still out. He loves his toys and playing with his brothers toys as well. He loves when Cameron and Luke talk to him or try to play with him. He is so happy all the time and loves to give gummy smiles to just about anyone. He is eating baby food now and absolutely loves it. He loves to join us at the dinner table, we just put him in the bumbo chair on the table and he loves to watch us eat, and be a part of the dinner time fun.

Yesterday was Luke's 3rd birthday. When he woke up in the morning even before he made it downstairs, he yelled, " It's my Birthday today!!" It was so cute, he was so excited all day. Whenever anyone would sing to him he would have a huge smile on his face and say thank you right when the person was done. We decided to have a birthday party at McDonald's and let me tell you it was the perfect place to go. Each of his friends got a kids meal and got to play on the toys. We had a great time! After the party he got to play with his friend Allie. We went to Pei Wei for dinner because he loves the kids lo mein with chicken, and got to open more presents. He was so happy!! It turned out to be a busy day but we had so much fun.

It is hard to believe he is already 3!! Time is going way too fast. He is still in that trying stage, but I am hoping it will end soon. He reminds me way too much of myself (that's scary). He can be a real sweetheart when he wants to be. He is still somewhat of a mommas boy and loves the attention. He loves riding his bike, playing with toys, playing with Cameron, holding Owen, helping me make dinner, causing mischief (especially when i am feeding Owen), watching cartoons and movies. He never stops talking and is very clear and easy to understand. He tries to do everything Cameron does. He is very independent and likes things to be a certain way. He is very quick at learning things and picks up songs really fast, he knows the alphabet, various primary songs and nursery ryhmns. We adore this little guy and are so happy he is in our family. Love you buddy!! Happy Birthday!!

The White stuff...in Texas!!

Would you believe it, we woke up to a white Christmas. Feels like it really is Christmas. Luke has never really been in snow and was so excited to go out and play in it. In the first couple of steps outside he fell right on his butt on the ice. It reminded me of my days in Rexburg falling on the ice or watching people fall, gotta love it!! Cameron had no interest in going out, so Luke and I went out and had a snow ball fight, and just played. Luke took a stab at a snow angel but it didn't work, he just got the snow all over him. We had a lot of fun out in it. I loved seeing the excitment on Luke's face as we were out there, he absolutely loved it except for when it made his hands really cold.
So cute!!

This picture makes me want to add some flavoring and eat it. Snow cone anyone?!...ha ha!!

Christmas!

We have had a great Christmas. We have enjoyed spending the day together. The boys made out like bandits as always and got some really great stuff. Owen wasn't feeling very good but put on a good face. He has croup and is quite sick. We hope you all have had a Merry Christmas!!

Ward Christmas party and Santa!!

Friday night we had our ward Christmas party. It was good food and great company. It was pot luck type dinner. They also had a slide show that was playing of pics throughout the year. There was one of me huge pregnant like 9 days before I had Owen on the 4th of July, yeah that was special. Also some pics of Reid's men's canoe trip, it was pretty funny. The primary kids all got up and sang us a song. Cameron was so cute and just sang away, I had no idea he knew the song. After all the kids sang, Santa came. The whole time we were in line to see him Luke wanted me to hold him and kept on saying over and over again, "Mom, I nervous to see Santa!" When it was our turn Cameron could hardly contain himself, he sat right down and started telling Santa what he wanted. Luke was a little hesitant but walked up and sat down. Owen did a great job, he took a liking to Santa but would not look at him. It worked out great for me, I didn't even have to take them to the mall.

Preschool Christmas Party

Last Friday Cameron had a party at his preschool. Luke, Owen and I went to help. We all had a great time. They had story time, made crafts and made gingerbread houses out of graham crackers. Ms. Tamra even had stuff for Luke to participate. Thanks Ms Tamra for all the fun. Here are some pics of our fun.

Diaper Cake!!

A friend and I through a baby shower for our friend Jessica. She has 4 girls and is finally getting a little boy. On December 4th we had the shower. I decided to try and make a diaper cake with diapers. It ended up taking about 2 1/2 hours but turned out looking great, if I say so myself. I just had to take pictures of it, because I don't know how many of these I will actually make in my lifetime. We had a great time at the shower and she got a ton of great things. We can't wait to meet this little guy of hers.

Newly found love!!

Owen has a newly found love and it is a book. He just loves it so much, we take it most places with us, especially church. It keeps him entertained and happy. Let's just hope we don't lose it. I should probably try to find another one to have, just in case.
