Splish Splash I was taking a bath!!

When Owen was tiny he used to hate getting a bath and would cry the whole time, so the baths had to be quick. Now he loves to take a bath and he will stay in there for a long time. He gets excited and starts kicking his legs all over the place especially when I pour water on his tummy, it is so funny to watch. I can't believe how much he has changed already. Here's our happy little guy in the bath!!

Emergency Room!!

Cameron and I spent 2 hours last night at the ER. He came to Reid and I at 12am and was having a really hard time breathing, and was gasping for air. We were really worried and couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I took him to the ER. When we got there they took us back immediately and starting checking him to see what was going on. They gave him a steroid medicine to open his airways. Then a little while later they did a breathing treatment, which the doctor called Astronaut air, so Cameron thought that was super cool. He did really well and the breathing treatment seemed to make him feel a lot better. They also did a chest xray to make sure he didn't have pnuemonia. Come to find out Cameron has croup. Cameron did such a great job and was really good. On the way home he was saying how the doctor really helped him and how the doctor helps lots of people when they are sick or can't breathe. He is such a sweet little guy and really takes the time to think about things. I just hope he will get better soon. I really hate having sick kids, I feel bad for them and it is not fun for me. So I guess we will be hanging at home for the next couple of days...bummer.

New calling!!

On Sunday I was released from Sunbeams and put in as Compassionate Service Leader. I am excited to start doing what needs to be done. It will be a lot of work but I am looking forward to it. I will miss the sunbeams and especially teaching Cameron but it will be good for both of us. It was hard to teach them with Owen here now. It will be different to be back in Relief Society since it has been years, but I am excited.

Game

On Saturday Cameron had his first soccer game. He was so excited to finally get to wear his "number shirt" as he calls it. We had so much fun watching these little guys play. Most of the time they had no idea what they were doing and gave us some pretty good laughs. One time Cameron was by the goal so he picked the ball up with his hands, put it back down, then kicked it in the wrong goal. He was so excited that he made a goal, we just didn't tell him it was the wrong goal. We are excited to watch more of his games and watching him progress. We had a great time! Way to go Cameron, we are so proud of you!

2 months old stats!

Owen at 2 months.

Weight: 11 lbs 4.5 oz 45-50th percentile
Height: 22 1/8 inches 25th percentile

He is such a sweet little guy. He has started smiling and coo at us now. He is always happy and rarely cries. He sleeps a good 6-7 hours at night. He can hold his head up pretty good. He loves tummy time and will usually fall asleep in that position. He is also a momma's boy already and loves to cuddle with me. Reid will be holding him and he will fuss a little and the minute I take him he stops, he sure loves his momma. I am so happy to have this little guy in our family.

Free Lunch!

Thanks to Chick-Fil-A we all enjoyed a free lunch today. If you wear a team logo today and go to Chick-Fil-A you get a free chicken sandwich. The place was packed with all sorts of team logos. Ours of course was VT. We all had our VT hats on, it was great. Since it was so packed we decided to take our food to a park for a picnic and the boys played some football with dad while Owen and I enjoyed the shade. I love holidays when Reid is off work!

It all begins today!!!

Today is a bittersweet day. Football has started. My saturdays will now consist of football, football, and more football. Now I like football don't get me wrong but I don't like spending all day watching game after game which Reid would do if I would let him. We will be rooting for the Virginia Tech Hokies on a big win over Alabama. We all have our Hokie gear on even Owen.
