17 hours later!!!

We made it back home last night at about 8 pm. That drive is such a long one. We had a blast visiting my family for Christmas though so the drive was worth it. The boys did great except for the last hour Luke was dying to get out of the car and wanted out. Portable DVD players are an amazing thing, I don't know what we would have done without it. Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful week!!!! We miss you already and are looking forward to seeing you in March!!!

5 years of wedded bliss!!!

Today is mine and Reids 5th Anniversary. I can't believe it has already been 5 years, wow where does time go. The past 5 years have been very eventful and such a blast. In those 5 years we have moved 6 times, graduated college, started a career, owned two houses, had two kids with one on the way, got a dog, went on a couple trips here and there, and have enjoyed every minute. I look forward to the wonderful opportunities that we have and will get to have. I am so grateful to be married to such an amazing person. Reid is such a loving, caring, and understanding person. He is a wonderful dad and my boys absolutely love him to death. I am so grateful for an eternal marriage and family. I love you so much babe, Happy Anniversary!!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

I just wanted to tell everyone Merry Christmas and I hope you have all had a wonderful day. We actually got to come to Arizona for Christmas and have had a wonderful time. It was a last minute decision which I am so happy we made. We got in the car Friday after work and drove the 16 hour drive and got here Saturday morning. The boys had so much fun today opening their presents. They both asked Santa for Cowboys guns, which they received and they also got hats and boots. They both look adorable all dressed up. I also got a new camera and can't wait to figure out how everything works. I will post pictures soon!!!

The white stuff...well sort of!!!

Today we woke up to ice. Reid had to wait a couple of hours to leave for work because of the ice on the roads. It also looks like we might have gotten maybe a tiny bit of snow flurries or something as well. I have heard it snows or they get ice here maybe once or twice a year but didn't think it would happen before Christmas. Kind of crazy. The boys and I will be staying inside today, it is so cold out there...25 degrees!!! I have no desire to go out in the cold. Hope you all have a great and warm day!!!!

Siren!!!

Well tonight we experienced our first tornado warning with sirens blaring and all. It was a little nerve racking but not bad just enough to pull our kids out of bed and bring them downstairs at 11:20pm and then it was over. Yeah gotta love waking them up for nothing but you never know. They are back in bed and everything is good.

First

Today I had my first ultrasound and got the first picture of our baby. The doctor said everything looks great and that things are going the way they are supposed to be going. I was really excited to get to hear the heartbeat but I didn't get to... it is still too early. The doctor thought I was futher along but the baby measured 6 and a half weeks. I could see a little flutter in the ultrasound picture that the heart is beating just couldn't hear it yet. It is so exciting to be going through this again.

Twilight

So yesterday I went to see Twilight and I loved it!! A couple friends and I went. We got to the theatre at about 4 and were the first in line for our 5:30 showing. I didn't mind the wait, we had fun just visiting and talking. After dinner we went to Mimi's cafe for dinner and visited and talked about the movie and were the last ones to leave the resturant. My overall opinion of the movie was it was great. Although parts of it bothered me but for the most part I really enjoyed it. The book was definitely way better than that movie like most are, but I thought they did a pretty good job at portraying certain parts. I can't wait for the next movie to come out and I totally want to read all of the books again.

Come and Gone!!!

We just got back from taking my mom to the airport to head back home. It was really sad to say goodbye. Cameron started crying big time as we were leaving the airport. He misses her so much..the whole drive home he kept on saying," I want to see Grandma..I want grandma!!! It is so sad but he'll be okay. We had such a great time having her here. In the mornings Cameron would go into her room and lay with her for a little while and was always wanting grandma to help him or be right next to him. He loved having her here. We got to spend time with my uncle Mark and his family on Friday night and had so much fun. Grandma let the boys pick out a toy that they wanted. We also got some Christmas shopping done and a pedicure while they were taking a nap on Saturday. I had so much fun with her. I was thinking I don't think she has ever stayed at our house, we always lived close except for when we were at school. It was nice to finally have her stay with us and see our new house. We are excited to see her again in March.

Cuddling with Grandma!!!!!!!

On Friday my brother David got engaged to Ashley Hansen...we are thrilled and couldn't be more excited for them. She is going to be a great addition to the family!!! Congrats David and Ashley...we love you!!!! They are getting married on March 6.

On her way!!

My mom is on her way here for a visit. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I miss her so much. I never thought moving away would be this hard. Cameron and Luke have also been asking all day when Grandma was going to get here. We are all so excited. I get to go pick her up in like an hour...Woo hoo!! I am so glad she has the opportunity to come. I will post about all of our fun after the weekend.

Owens Farm

On Thursday...some friends and the boys and I went to Owens Farm. We got to go on a Hay ride, see the clidesdale horses (not sure how to spell that), and got to feed the goats. The boys had so much fun feeding the goats. I thought Luke would be scared but he loved it. He kept on grabbing food and holding it out. He would laugh everytime the goats would lick his hand. Cameron wanted to stay with the goats longer. We also saw some bulls and some ponies. When we first got there Luke saw the horses and said, "I wanna ride it!" We had a great time!!!!

Full Chart and Power Rangers

Well we made it!! Cameron is finally potty trained. It took awhile but we have jumped the hurdle. He had a potty chart that he got to put stickers on after everytime he went potty. We set the reward, that once he had filled his chart he could get some Power Ranger figures. Those figures had been sitting on top of our fridge for quite sometime. He finally got them on Friday. I cannot even say how proud I am of him. He did really great...only a few tears here and there. I am so glad I don't have to diaper two kids still. Way to go Cameron...we are so proud of you!!!!

Proud little brother!!!

Pumpkin Pie!!

Last Saturday Reid decided he wanted to make a pumpkin pie by sratch. SHOCK!!! So I went and bought all of the spices and things he would need. For the record we did not use pumpkin from the can. We got a pie pumpkin and cooked it and did what needed to be done to get it ready. The pie turned out great, it was the best pumpkin pie I have ever had. Everything always tastes better when you don't have to make it. I helped a little but Reid did most of it and cleaned up after himself. I was very proud of him. Here's some pics during the process.

Halloween!!!

Cameron and Luke were so excited all day to go Trick or Treating. They woke up wanting to get in their costumes. We started out at our citys Trick or Treating at the Square which started at 4. All the little shops gave out candy. It was packed but we had fun. The boys and I went with our friends the Garcia's. We didn't even hit all the stores and their buckets were almost full. I couldn't believe it. Cameron was so excited and would say trick or treat at every person, and would wait for them to put candy in his bucket. Luke on the other hand wanted to put the candy in his own bucket, he would take the candy from the person and then put it in his bucket, he even said Trick or Treat. We went home and got daddy and headed to a Trunk or Treat at our church building where the whole stake was invited. The cars went all around the church and most spots both sides of the road. We loved seeing all our friends dressed up and Cameron and Luke got tons more candy. We have two big baggies full. Way too much that I don't need in my house. After the Trunk or treat we went to Chili's for dinner. Luke had so much candy that he was wired. I don't think I have ever seen him so hyper and crazy. We had such a great time!!!!

Breakfast, Pumpkins and the Fall Festival

Since we have not really done this before yesterday we went out to breakfast as a family. It was actually really fun to change it up a little. We went to Mimi's cafe. Then off to get a pumpkin, we just went over to Walmart and the boys loved it. Later on in the evening we went to the Fall festival. They had a petting zoo, horse rides, jumping castles and carnival games. I thought Luke would be afraid of the horse but he just got on and held on to the horn on the saddle. We had so much fun. I was upset though because the batteries in my camera went out. I barely got a couple of pictures.

The big 25!!!!

So yesterday was my 25th birthday. Another year has come and gone and I can't believe it. 25 wow...I feel so old...haha just kidding. It felt just like any normal day except for the phone calls and getting cards. Reid got to come home early from work and we went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and let me tell you it was so good. After dinner we went to the a High School football game with some friends from our ward. It was a really good game and we had such a great time and the boys had a blast at the game. Being at the game made we realize how happy I am that, that stage in my life is over. Reid got me a massage for my birthday so today at noon I go to get it. I am so excited and can't wait. I will throughly enjoy every second.

BYU -TCU game

On Thursday night Reid and I got to go on a much needed date. We went to the BYU-TCU game. We had a ton of fun, until the game actually started. Yes as most of you know BYU lost terribly. They just didn't come ready to play, at least that is what I think. It was fun to be at the game and in the atmosphere surrounded by BYU fans, but depressing that they weren't playing so well. Oh well maybe they'll beat them in 2 years when they come back.

Potty Buddies!!!!

We are in the dreaded process of trying to get Cameron potty trained, Which is turning out to be a lot harder than I thought it would be. Nothing seems to be working. Yesterday morning I put Cameron on the potty to go and Luke wanted to join in on the fun. Here's what I saw!!!

Morning Run with Mom!!

Almost every morning the boys and I go for a run/walk. They love to ride in the stroller.

A day at the park with Dad!!!

On Saturday afternoon we took the boys to the park. They wanted to go play football with their dad. They absolutely loved having their dad go and play with them. I love watching them play and seeing what a great dad Reid is. We also got some cute pictures of the boys playing.

Spider Cookies!!

Last night our family made spider cookies. Cameron had been asking everyday for the past week or two to do them and I kept on forgetting to get pretzel sticks. I even went to the store a couple of times to get them and forgot to grab them. The boys thought it was so cool to make them and put them together. They ate more of the stuff then we made into cookies but it was fun. The Reeses Pieces were a big hit with Luke. He kept craming them in his mouth and was drooling the different colors. I love to see how excited my boys get for the simplest things.

He is into showing his teeth when he smiles, so it makes for a funny picture!

Daddy helping Cameron make his own.

See what I mean about the Reeses Pieces!!!!
