MAIL!!!

Cameron and Luke got some mail today. My mom sent the boys really cute cards with some money to get ice cream. They were so excited to have mail and to get to open them by themselves. Thank you Grandma for thinking about us. We love you and miss you so much. Come visit us sometime soon!!!!

Visitors

Yesterday we had our friends The Wisers come to stay with us. They went to sell security systems in Virginia during the summer. They are driving back to Arizona and stopped by. We had such a blast visiting with them. It was a short visit but way fun. The boys had so much fun playing with Allie. I think they miss all their friends, it was nice for them to have a familiar face.

FIRE ANTS and ducks!!

Yesterday I decided to take the kids to a park to feed the ducks and to play on the playground. After being couped in the house for 3 days because of rain the boys were way excited to get out of the house. So I took them to the park and the minute we got out of the car and had our bread bag out the ducks started coming towards us really fast. Since the ducks were so close I wanted to take some pictures. I was taking pictures then all of the sudden Luke started crying. I looked down at him and noticed he was standing right on a huge ant hill and had ants crawling up his leg. I grabbed him real quick and tried to get the ants off. By the time I got the ants off, his whole foot was turning red and where every bite was his skin was raised up and swollen a little. So I took him to the bathroom and rinsed his foot in cold water. After I rinsed his foot he was fine and wanted to go back to the ducks. I kept an eye on his foot and luckly the swelling went way down. The boys played on the playground and loved it. My friend Megan and her little boy Alex came with us. The boys have so much fun playing together. This morning when Luke woke up I looked at his foot and now all the bites have little white heads on them. 25 bites total. It looks painful but doesn't seem to be bothering him too much, except for every once in a while he'll point to his foot and say ants. These ants are brutal!!!!

Surf's Up!!!

So I have to explain this post. As most of you know my parents have a boat and from previous posts you have seen the kids surfing and tubing behind the boat with Reid. We had a chance to go to the lake before we moved to Texas. Ever since Cameron surfed with Reid he constantly talks about it. When we got to our temporary apartment he started wrapping the dog lease around things so it stays and says he's surfing. Well one day he saw the ironing board, and thought it was a surf board so I took it down and let him use it as a surf board. When we moved into our house he kept on doing it. Now he "surfs" everyday with various things. So for family night we decided to make the boys their own "real" surfboards, real as in cardboard boxes cut into a surf board. Cameron was so excited he didn't even want to eat his dinner. Here are the pictures of Reid drawing and cutting them out and the boys surfing. Last night after a little while of surfing Cameron asked me to hold the rope and said, "Mom slink out!" I didn't quite hear him so I asked him what he said, so he repeated it "Mom slink out!. Then I said, "Oh you mean slack out? He said oh yeah, slack out. I thought it was way cute that he remembered. That kid remembers everything. For those of you non lake goers slack out means having the boat go a little until all the slack in the rope is out. Also Cameron will fall off the board and say Oh no I'm in the water, Grandpa turn around and come get me! It is the cutest thing ever. Thanks Dad for all the wonderful lake memories!!!! The boys absolutely love the surf boards. Who knew cardboard could be so fun.

Sold!!!

I am happy to annouce that as of last Friday our house in Coolidge was sold. It is no longer ours and we can't be more happy. A huge weight has been lifted. We are so grateful for the blessing that this has been in our lives. It was stressful and hard but it was a wonderful experience all at the same time. My faith has been increased greatly and I know that our Heavenly Father had a hand in every step during the whole process. I am so greatful for the knowlegde that I have and that I know I can turn to our Heavenly Father in prayer and that my prayers will be answered. I want to thank all of you for your love, support, and prayers during this whole thing. It would not have been possible without you.

Pics of the house

I know there are a lot of you that would like to see pictures of our new house. I have yet to take pictures of the inside. I need to clean my house first. I am cleaning today and will take pictures to show you all. We are very excited to be almost done getting everything settled, however our dining room is still full of boxes. Last weekend in Arizona

This post is late but I finally got a chance to get the pictures uploaded. We had such a blast. We started off the day with a traditional 5 am Lake trip. After the lake we all went home and took a nap and for dinner we went to Amazing Jake's. We had such a great time and the boys had a ton of fun riding all the kid rides. The whole day could not have been better. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have had to live so close to my family. I already miss being able to see them whenever I want to. I can't wait to come back home and visit. Thank you mom and dad for such a fun and special weekend. We are so happy we had the chance to stay a couple more days.
